A bit of troubles with the legs master?
Quite unnoticeable at the first glance.

Unfortunately. They are more difficult to draw than faces imo

Ultramarine. But a Dark Angel would also be a great Idea I suppose... I should do one

This is awesome, your style is amazing. The realism you bring is great, I'm a fan of the pose of "i just got done killing something big. so let me walk away slowly"

^ THIS is everything that's still impressive about the 40k universe and the larger than life characters that inhabit it.
For those interested and wishing for something other than the normal gushing fanboy response of "Spess MArnes YEAH" please allow me explain.
His Armour tells a story all of its own, one which you (the artist) have gone to fair amount of detail in, even in this rough B&W.
Personal heraldry on a small shield attached to his pauldron as well as the neighboring Iron Halo, Curx Terminus hanging from his neck, the eagle motif on his Power fist, The squad markings and chapter markings on his shin guards; I could and really should go on.
All in all, for what could be considered to be such a simple gray scale line art, there's a lot here for the eyes provided you're willing to take 30 seconds and not see it as 'Moar 40 stuff'.

I honestly wish that the official artists still took this approach, as lately there seems to have been somewhat of a paradigm shift towards bad digital paintings...
In any event however.
MasterAlighieri, this is really good. REALLY good. It'd be nice to see him painted up to your usual standard, to see what you decide to do with his Armour markings.

I appreciate your comment. The thing with 40k is that it is only at the first glance some "straightforward scifi splatter with big armor". There is much more depth in it for those who are willing to look closer and this exactly is the thing that drags people into this universe.

About the GW Art: Yes, I also noticed that there is a force that is pulling their puplications artworks towards mainstream a little bit. I mean, some of the digital Paintings are really great but others, i dont know (chaos cultist in the new codex Chaos). Also, the oil covers from Kopinski or Dainton were so much more interesting from an artistic perspective.
