Not exactly sure what this motley bunch is doing... (it turned into quite a challenge trying to get them to fit in a composition while manning a cannon.) It seems that Molly Pitcher and that officer fella should be doing something more useful. Sure it's helpful to hurl insults at the Tories but I feel that round shot would be far more effective... just my opinion I guess.Related content

Of course she is! Molly wouldn't miss a chance to blow that "red coated band" off the field! Judging from the engravings that piece obviously used to belong to the Royal Artillery... I guarantee you that the previous owners operated her with much more grace a precision.
I should've covered all the dogs in dirt and gunpowder but left the officer clean. LOL

Mrs Pitcher could also be replying commands to other cannoniers and the Officer is merely thinking about how the coming cannonade will be to the enemy.

LOL yeah, perhaps Molly has the loudest voice out of the bunch! Canon impacts have never exactly been my idea of beauty but that fella seems to like the thought of it. LOL
