Part 2
Journey to the Tree of Time

Chapter 1
The Journey Begins

The journey to the Tree of Time began on a foggy day. Lucario led the group, with Kidd Summers driving her van, consisting of Ash, Brock and Dawn, while Will used his powers to fly to follow the gang and Lucario. “This fog... it's getting heavier...” Kidd said. “Yeah, and we already knew that Lucario can see through the fog using the power of aura.” Ash said. “But, don't you think that this Lucario might have something special about him? After all, he did train under a hero who had a power that was close to the Hylian gods.” Dawn said. “True, perhaps this Lucario was not only trained to use the power of aura, but maybe also the power of the Hylian gods.” Kidd said. “I wonder if Will has a similar aura to Link?” Dawn wondered. “Yeah, Will and Link have the same aura!” Ash said. “Speaking of Will, I wonder how he's holding up? I'll check.” Ash said. “Hey! Will! How's it going up there?” Ash called from the window. “I'm managing! I'm just trying to keep up with you guys!” Will called back from up in the air. Back at the Tree of Time, in a hidden area, Mew just hovered around Pikachu trying to wake him up. Meowth sat nearby, playing with a jack-in-the-box. The toy opened and startled Meowth. “Not funny!” Meowth said. Charmander just sat near Pikachu, keeping him warm with his flame on his tail “I think he needs to sleep some more, Mew!” Meowth reminded to Mew. Pikachu just lied down on a piece of grass, still knocked out from the previous night caused by Kidd's two Weavile.

Chapter 2
Will's Ocarina talents

While taking a break from traveling, Lucario sat on a rock, eating a berry. Suddenly, he heard an ocarina being played. He looked below the rock, and saw Will, dressed in his Hero's Clothes, playing the Ocarina of Time he received from Princess Zelda II just before the gang left for the Tree of Time. Lucario heard the melody being played and remembered the song that Link used to play. That melody.... It's the Song of Time! Link used to play this melody...Lucario thought. “Hey Will! Lunch is ready!” Brock called. “OK! Coming!” Will called back. He went over to the lunch table where he could smell spaghetti and meatballs. Then, the gang heard a small voice. It was a Pokemon called Bonsly. “Hey! It's a Bonsly!” Ash said. “It looks like it's using Fake Tears” Dawn said. “Hey! Come back with my spaghetti and meatballs!” Will yelled as Bonsly ran off with Will's bowl of spaghetti and meatballs. Will chased Bonsly and even tried to do a jump slide to get his lunch. Unfortunately, Will didn't make it and he hit the ground flat on his face. “Gaaahhh.... this is pretty aaawwwkkkward.....” Will said while his face was still on the ground. However, Lucario grabbed Will's spaghetti and meatballs bowl from Bonsly. “Don't take things that don't belong to you. Have this instead.” Lucario said. Lucario gave Bonsly a berry and the Bonsly went behind a rock to eat the berry. Then, Lucario approached Will and gave him his bowl of spaghetti and meatballs. “Whoa... thanks, Lucario...” Will said. Then, the gang saw the sun come out.

Chapter 3
A beautiful view and a possible doom

When the sun was shining through to the hidden area in the Tree of Time, Pikachu woke up. “Hey, nice to see you awake now!” Meowth said. Suddenly, Meowth fell through a portal that was inside a tree trunk! Mew looked inside and told Pikachu and Charmander to follow and the three Pokemon were jumping around on giant bubbles! Then, Mew, Meowth, Pikachu and Charmander went outside and saw a beautiful view of the land below the Tree of Time. “Wow, what a view!” Meowth would say. Another one of Ganondorf's devices was spying on the Pokemon and the Dark Lord saw the whole thing. “It won't be long now before I get the last piece of the Triforce... soon, this world will be mine to dominate, mine to subjugate, mine to rule! Hm, hm, hm, hm....” Ganondorf would laugh. It would be soon that Will would learn of his ancestry and begin a fight that would determine the fate of the world....

Chapter 4
The Hot Spring and the Flowers of Time

The gang continued on their journey to the Tree of Time, that is until they came across a bunch of geysers. “What are we going to do now?” Ash wondered. “Hey! Look over there!” Dawn yelled as she pointed to a hot spring. “Nice! A hot spring!” The gang cheered. Later, the gang had time to relax in the hot spring, and Lucario had another flashback of when he was still a Riolu, and when Link was a just a young boy. “Why don't sit next to me and soak your feet in the water? It's really relaxing.” Link said. “I'd rather not sir...” Riolu said. “Ha ha, you need to loosen up, Riolu!” Link giggled as he grabbed Riolu's hand-paw. “Yes, sir...” Riolu said as he soaked his footpaws into the hot spring. “Mmmm...!” Riolu moaned. “Well? Do you like it?” Link asked. “Yes, it's really nice...” Riolu said. Back in the present, Dawn called Ash for something. “Hey, Ash!” Dawn called. “What is it, Dawn?” Ash asked. “Do you see that thing up there?” Dawn asked as she pointed to the strange-looking object on the cliff. “Yeah! I'll go and get a closer look!” Ash said. So, Ash climbed up the cliff to see what the object was and Will could sense that Ash was going to fall off, and he did. “Ash! Hang on! I gotcha!” Will yelled as he jumped to grab the falling Ash. Ash also had the object he saw up on the cliff in his hands. “What do you think it is?” Will asked. “I don't know, maybe we should find out.” Ash said. Lucario saw the object and he remembered what it was. He had another flashback from his days as a Riolu and when Link was in his young years. “Hey look! It's a Flower of Time!” Link exclaimed. “Flower of Time?” Riolu asked. “Through the power of the Goddess of Time and through the power of aura, you can see visions from the past.” Link said. Back in the present, in the evening, Kidd dug up a small spot to put the Flower of Time in it. However, when Will was about to bury the Flower of Time into the dug up spot, it showed a vision of when Ash fell off the cliff earlier that day and Will jumped up to save him. “Hey! You picked up a Flower of Time!” Kidd said. “Flower of Time?” Ash asked. “It's said that these flowers can make visions from the past through the power of the Goddess of Time and through the power of aura. But I've never seen one like this...” Kidd explained. “How did it respond to Will?” Ash asked. “It must be because Will has the same aura as Link, the Hero of Time.” Kidd said.

Chapter 5
Beginning of a bond?

Later that night, when Ash was explaining how he first met Pikachu, Will and Charmander and how Will used his powers to protect Ash, Pikachu and Charmander from the Spearow flock, Will just sat under a tree playing the Ocarina of Time and the Song of Time melody. Lucario saw Will perform and he decided to talk to Will. “Excuse me, don't you miss the Pokemon you call Charmander?” Lucario asked. “Of course I do.... I'd do anything to protect those who I care for. I just wish I knew that Charmander was safe. But... I have a feeling that Charmander is safe with Mew. But I still can't help but worry about him. And I also worry about the dark presence that Princess Zelda II mentioned. I think I'm starting to feel it too... It feels like an old evil....” Will would explain. “So the dark presence you feel must be..... Ganondorf. But how is it possible? I thought Ganondorf was sealed away by Link..... right before he betrayed me though....” Lucario said. “I feel really sorry for what happened to you.... oh....!” Will said. Suddenly, his cheeks turned bright red. “Shocking..... I haven't felt this way since... well, for a while now....” Will said while blushing. “Lucario.... I've been having this fear lately about losing you... it's just like what happened to the Lucario I was friends with when I went to Cameron Palace.... he died after sacrificing his life to save the Tree of Beginning.... I can't bear to go through all that trauma again. Please promise me that you won't ever sacrifice your own life.... I'll be the one to do that....” Will said. “I understand the fear you have. I can sense that you have been through a lot of trauma. I promise, I'll do what I can to stay alive to make you happy...” Lucario said. “Thank you....” Will said with a tear dripping down his face.

Chapter 6
Lucario's Dark Past Revealed

The next day, the gang continued to follow Lucario to the Tree of Time. However, Lucario and the gang stopped somewhere and Lucario saw something from his past. “Lucario, what's wrong?” Will asked. “This is the place where Link sealed me inside the Master Sword....” Lucario said recalling the event. “......Why would he do it?!” Lucario wondered. Suddenly, another Flower of Time was activated and it showed the whole event unfold, Lucario was sealed inside the Master Sword and Link was seen running off. The vision continued with Ganondorf's possessed Pokemon army passing through the area. “What's happening?! Why do those Pokemon look different??!!” Dawn wondered. Lucario had seen enough. He suddenly went berserk and started shooting multiple Aura Spheres at the vision. “Lucario! Calm down! This isn't real! It's a vision from the past!” Will called trying to calm Lucario down. After regaining control of himself, Lucario ran off. “You know what? I think Lucario was right...” Brock said. Will then chased after Lucario to find him. “Link was no hero....!” Brock said. “So then, the legend about Link was wrong?” Dawn wondered. “It looks like it... poor Lucario....” Ash said. Over in a small area, Lucario was crouching, grieving that Link had betrayed him. “He was my master....!” Lucario said. Suddenly, Will showed up. “Lucario....” Will said. Lucario turned around and saw Will standing in his Hero's Clothes with a sad face. “I feel so sorry for you.....” Will said quietly with tears watering from his eyes. “Will, thank you for your sympathy. Promise me you will never desert Charmander....” Lucario said. “I promise.... I would never even think to desert my friend like that....” Will said while wiping his tears with his hands. Lucario smiled and suddenly, he could sense the aura of something dangerous coming....

Chapter 7
Regirock attacks!

Lucario could sense something dangerous coming, and Will felt it too. “Lucario! Look out!” Will shouted. He jumped towards Lucario and moved him out of the way of an attack. When the dust cleared, the gang was surprised to see what attacked.... It was Regirock, one of the three Legendary Golems. “A Regirock! Why is it attacking us?!” Ash yelled. Will and Lucario got in front of Regirock while it shot a Hyper Beam at Lucario and while Lucario countered it with an Aura Sphere. “Lucario! Go and lead my friends to the Tree of Time! I'll take care of Regirock!” Will said. “Right!” Lucario said. So, Lucario ran off to lead the gang into the Tree of Time, and Will stood alone to face Regirock. After Will drew the Master Sword from his sheath, Regirock saw the Master Sword and it suddenly went away. “What was that about?” Will wondered. After Regirock left, Will ran off to catch up with the gang and Lucario. As Will entered the Tree of Time, he knew that much more fighting would lay ahead as he went to save not only Charmander, Pikachu and Meowth, but perhaps even the entire world....
