I concur, friend. Not only that, but Diablo scared me a good deal more than it's successors.

It may be because I started playing it when I was so much younger, but Ogden's intro always creeped me out.

"The church at the edge of town has been desecrated, and is being used for dark rituals. The screams that echo in the night are inhuman, but some of our townsfolk may yet survive."

And don't even get me started on the Butcher.

It had that effect on me too I actually played the demo when they didn't have the right voice actors, and Ogden's lines were even creepier! I was scared to go into that Cathedral sometimes, just because I didn't know the game and I didn't know how many species would come wheeling out the shadows at me

Oh, man, no joke! It's not only mortifying to see a boss creature come up and hack off 2/3 of your lifebar in a single hit, but it's worse when 64,000 of whatever enemy you care to name leap out of Hell itself (seriously), and cluster around you.

I'm unable to count the number of times my language skills have deteriorated to the point of nonsensical jabbering as I scramble to get the Hell AWAY from a million and a half Black Knights because my Sorcerer can't take a punch. Ye gods.

Though, for my money, the Warrior is the most badass. Coolest voice actor, coolest look, and even a little sarcastic to boot.
