In- training- Kitimon; derived from Kit, the word used to describe young badgers, among other animals.

Rookie- Taxamon; derived from Taxidea Taxus, the scientific name of the American Badger.

Champion- Ratelmon; derived from the Ratel, the native name for the African Honey badger.

Ultimate- ArmorRatelmon; derived from the armor that covers his body (and possibly from the armadillo), and the ratel.

Mega- MechanoRatelmon; derived from mechanical, referring to this forms right arm and armored appearance, and ratel.
