He's thousands of years old. Of course he'll win.

Because, well, Thranduil fought a scary dragon and what did Harry fight? Some ugly guy w/o a nose? Yeah, Thranduil definitely wins for best facial scar.

I beg to differ; Harry DID fight a fire-breatning dragon. It was a Hungarian horntail, and this happened in the fourth movie, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire".

It's just a handsome stain. I think that the Hobbit was much more clever in their production. Also Lord of the Rings began before Harry Potter and existed even after it's end. We are still wrapping up our story, getting the last DVD out to the public.

The Harry Potter books tok way too many characters and themes from Lord of the Rings. Also Harry Potter teaches that you can only have adventures as a kid. Lord of the rings shows you can have an adventure at any age.

Yeah. Those aren't scars. Those are just Thranduil's handsome stains. They just spilled a bit on his face.

You should read one of my fanfics. It has a bit of him in it. It's a fanfic that's in the later age. After the hobbit, and after the quest for the ring. After everybody leaves for Aman, and Middle Earth starts rebuilding it's peaceful foundation.

I am one of those people that thinks thinks that J Rowling (There is no K. She made the K up) took a whole lot from the lord of the rings. So I often bicker between the two.

I've always liked the movies, but by the time I watched the third movie, then I sort of drifted away from the movies.

Mastermindhunter In reply to mr-scaletta [2014-08-08 16:48:36 +0000 UTC]
Well, I like the third one the most of course, because we had a respectable dark arts teacher, and the magical world came more in tune with Harry considering the first two he was sort of bumbling around and was sort of "Oh, wow! Look at this! Look at that!" And sort of had a surprised look on his face. The third one however he sort of was getting used to the magical world. I'll have to think about the next few.

Since I'm not a big Harry Potter fan, I don't really think I've seen any of the movies...I suppose whichever one Snape got the most screentime and importance.

Awww I'm glad. I'm going to be making another soon about the scene where Bombour snapped the bench and all the dwarves laughed at him, instead of helping him up. And the term "Never trust an elf is used at least six times in the saga. How about never trust a dwarf? My heart is sad for Bombour. None of the dwarves will know what it's like to be him.
