Description
Felt like a little (no pun intended) change of style for this next picture. I'm still perfecting what I call the "paper doll" method of SW photography/ photoediting. Hope you enjoy!Related content

Fantastic work on the shadows and cropping. It looks like an actual photo!

It is an actual photo. MasterMini actually printed her out and held her. Which is awesome.

Well, NOW I know that. Took until one of his latest deviations for the meaning of the "paper doll method" thing to click. I faaaail. XD;;
And ikr!? I've never seen this technique used EVAR. Genius. *w*
But I wish he'd do more than just handhelds; like that ShrInc series.

After the first part of that last sentence my mind went downstairs.. :slaps self: But yeah there are so many cool possibilities. I'm not so good around Photoshop but I'm okay-ish around scissors. This should be made into a trend or something. What do you say... if I'll make one, would you make one too?

Aaaand there goes my mind too.
But but but Kindii has no photo paper so it would look so baaaad on my cheap-ish printer paper. ;A;
You should just make one. XD Though part of me is afraid of what your mind will come up with. o.o;;

Don't worry about the process, it is very simple once you get the hang of it. For cutting I use scissors for the general cutout and a hobby knife for the finer details. I have a single light source for illumination which provides the shadows. It's nothing fancy, just a 45W bulb on a stand. Place it in a way that is similar to the lighting of your subject when photographing.
For the editing I mainly use clone stamp to clean up the parts I've missed. Sometimes I also use curves to adjust the colors. All of these pictures were made in Gimp, a freeware similar to photoshop.
Hope this helps!
