Shere Khan and Simba vs Scar
(Shere Khan and Simba watch Scar triumph over Mufasa's death which confirms that Scar killed Mufasa)

The rest of what happens with the Wildebeest stampede and Mufasa’s death is still the same until when Simba comes to check on Mufasa. Simba calls out for help, and this time, his call is answered, and much to Simba’s surprise, it is Shere Khan. As it turns out, Shere Khan has been looking for Simba, and he caught Scar killing Mufasa. Before Simba can try to mourn over Mufasa’s body, Shere Khan stops him in his tracks.

SHERE KHAN: Now’s not the time to mourn, Simba. We have to hide. Scar is coming and you do not want to get caught in what could happen next.

Simba knows that Shere Khan is not kidding around and they hide in a hole small enough to hide both of themselves. And then they watch as Scar approaches Mufasa’s body and discovers he is dead. And then with no sign of Simba, Scar along with Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed triumphantly leave as Simba realizes in that very moment after seeing and hearing everything he needed to see and hear that Scar was the one who killed his father Mufasa.

SHERE KHAN: (as he and Simba come out of their hiding place) Let’s go home and tell your mother and the rest of the Pride about what happened.

And off Simba and Shere Khan go to Pride Rock.
