(Scar's takeover and blaming of Simba for Mufasa's death in which he unknowingly paves way for a future civil war against him and his loyalists by Simba and his supporters)

At night, Simba followed by Shenzi, Banzai, Ed, and their Hyena clan, Timon, and Pumbaa has just reunited with Sarabi, Sarafina, Nala, Zira, and the rest of the Pride on the outskirts of Pride Rock.

SARABI: (to Simba) You okay, son?

SIMBA: (to Sarabi) Yes. I’m okay, Mom.

NALA: You okay, Simba?

SIMBA: Yes. I’m okay, Nala. Thanks to the Hyenas.

ZIRA: So, what happened?

SHENZI: Scar betrayed Mufasa and Simba and killed Mufasa.

TIMON: It’s true.

PUMBAA: Timon and I were the ones who caught Scar in the act of killing Mufasa.

Sarabi, Sarafina, Nala, Zira, and the rest of the Pride along with Zazu look at Simba, Shenzi, Banzai, Ed, and their Hyena clan, Timon, and Pumbaa in shock and horror.

SARABI: Scar did what?!

ZAZU: I knew he was trouble!

ZIRA: It’s a good thing I broke up with Scar when I did.

SIMBA: What do you mean, Zira?

ZIRA: Before you were born, Simba, I was Scar’s girlfriend. But when Scar cheated on me by trying to gain your mother’s affection and even go as far as to challenge Mufasa for the throne just for the sake of gaining your mother’s affection, I decided that I had no choice but to break up with him and cut him off from my life for good.

IMANI: (Zira’s best friend who is a teenager at this point) I knew he was a very bad influence.

SARAFINA: Let’s go home.

As they are approaching Pride Rock, Simba, Shenzi, Banzai, Ed, and their Hyena clan, Timon, Pumbaa, Sarabi, Sarafina, Nala, Zira, the rest of the Pride, Zazu, joined by Shere Khan, Bagheera, Baloo, Pua and his Crocodile float, the Eagles, a Zebra herd led by the future parents of Muhimu, a Cheetah couple (who are the future parents of Fuli), Basi (who is young at this point) and his Hippo pod, Kubariki and Mlinzi and their Hyena clan, and Rafiki suddenly watch in horror from afar as Scar has gathered the Leopards, Antelopes, Giraffes, some Zebras, the Vultures, and rivaling Cheetahs.

SCAR: Mufasa's death is a terrible tragedy. But for Simba to be the one responsible for Mufasa’s death, it is a deep, personal loss that I shall never forget. So it is with a heavy heart that I assume the throne. Yet out of the ashes of this tragedy, we shall rise to greet......the dawning of a new era, in which all of us come together in a great and glorious future!

Pua turns to the others present with him.

PUA: Guys, we can’t go home. It’s not safe for Simba. He is the only one who can defeat Scar. But for him to do so, he has to be fully grown.

SARABI: So, what do you propose we do?

PUA: We will have to go into hiding, somewhere where we can never be found.

SHENZI: During which time we will make sure that Simba is prepared for this.

BANZAI: And Scar will pay for what he’s done.

SHERE KHAN: I love the sound of that.

BALOO: Me too.

BAGHEERA: It’s for the best.

PUMBAA: Timon and I know where we can go to live in hiding.

SARABI: Lead the way, Timon and Pumbaa.

With that, Simba, Shenzi, Banzai, Ed, and their Hyena clan, Timon, Pumbaa, Sarabi, Sarafina, Nala, Zira, the rest of the Pride, Zazu, Shere Khan, Bagheera, Baloo, Pua and his Crocodile float, the Eagles, the Zebra herd led by the future parents of Muhimu, the Cheetah couple (who are the future parents of Fuli), Basi (who is young at this point) and his Hippo pod, Kubariki and Mlinzi and their Hyena clan, and Rafiki turn around and leave for the Hakuna Matata Jungle.

(Side note: Kubariki and Mlinzi are the future parents of Jasiri and Madoa)
