Kopa even introduces Kovu to his (Kovu) and Vitani's grandmother Azola as well as their (Kovu and Vitani's father Chumvi, along with his (Kopa) other friends named Shere Khan, Bagheera, and Baloo. Kopa and Kovu even play together, eat bugs, and share laughs as they cannot be more than happy that they are back in each other's lives again in the way brothers and best friends are. Kopa and Kovu are both aware that at some point, they will need to tell each other about what happened to themselves respectively as Kovu tells Kopa why he came looking for him.
