(Gamora (original self) stops Peter Quill from getting too drunk and they have an emotional reunion)

Gamora has seen enough. She can’t bear seeing Peter Quill like this as it just isn’t him, and she can tell that Peter Quill is in emotional pain and is determined to get to the bottom of the situation behind Peter Quill’s emotional pain. And so Gamora does what any girlfriend would do for their boyfriend who is in emotional pain. Just as Peter Quill lifts the bottle of beer in his hand to his lips for a drink, Gamora comes right up to him and grabs him by the wrist rendering it immobile so that Peter Quill cannot move his hand to the point of putting the bottle of beer to his lips for a drink.

GAMORA: Drink that and the only thing you’re gonna feel is a broken jaw.

Having gotten drunk to the point where he would have said things that he would not be saying when he is not drunk, Peter Quill instead is left in a very big shock at seeing the love of his life alive and well right there in front of him. Peter Quill almost thought that he was dreaming, but Gamora grabbing him by the wrist and rubbing his eyes and seeing that it’s not an hallucination is enough to convince Peter Quill that Gamora is alive and well and right there in the flesh. Gamora then pulls the bottle of beer out of Peter Quill’s hand and in a split second pulls Peter Quill into a very tight hug which Peter Quill returns as he buries his head in Gamora’s shoulder and cries and everyone else present is very touched by Peter Quill and Gamora’s reunion.

PETER QUILL: (crying) I’ve really missed you, Gamora.

GAMORA: I’ve really missed you too, Peter.

PETER QUILL: (whispering with his head still buried in Gamora’s shoulder) I can’t believe I got you back.
