Description What if the other half survives the Snap in Avengers: Infinity War/ Avengers: Endgame
(Peter Quill and Gamora spend time alone together)

(When she and Peter Quill break apart while they’re still holding hands, Gamora makes Peter Quill an offer upon having just decided that the Karaoke Room is not the best place for her and Peter Quill to be alone together)

GAMORA: (to Peter Quill) Let’s go take a walk.

(Peter Quill accepts without hesitation and he and Gamora go to Peter Quill’s bedroom)

PETER QUILL: (once he and Gamora are alone together) Isn’t this a very great place?

GAMORA: (admiring the view of the underground bunker) It is beautiful. (Gamora then turns to Peter Quill to look straight at him) But, Peter, there’s something I don’t understand. Where have you been all this time? How did you survive?

(At first, Peter Quill is hesitant to say anything and look at the woman he loves after everything that happened, but then Gamora who really hates seeing Peter Quill in a lot of emotional pain lifts him up by the chin and gently forces him to make eye contact with her)

GAMORA: Peter, I’ve known you long enough to know when you’re lying and when you’re not, and right now, you are not telling me the truth. You can be open with me about what you’ve been through and share with me your feelings and experiences. Now tell me what happened.

PETER QUILL: (knowing he cannot hide the truth from the woman he loves) Gamora, after the Snap, I was devastated. I felt like I had failed everyone. But I managed to survive because of the love and support of the remaining Guardians and my determination to make things right. I tried to stop Thanos, Gamora, but he was too powerful. I made a mistake, and he took advantage of it. I've been carrying the guilt of that failure ever since.

GAMORA: Which mistake?

PETER QUILL: The one where I lashed out on Thanos when the news of your death left me so devastated. I mean, I lost my mother, then Yondu, and then you. After the Snap, I was in a dark place. I coped by drowning my sorrows in alcohol and getting really fat and growing out very long hair and a very long beard and trying to forget. It wasn't healthy, but it was the only way I knew how to deal with the pain.

GAMORA: Do you still have feelings for me, or have things changed between us?

PETER QUILL: I thought about you every day. Losing you was one of the hardest things I've ever experienced. I never stopped loving you, even when you were gone. You're the love of my life, and I've missed you every day. But I understand that things are different now, and I'll respect whatever you feel.
