Nina was never the most popular girl. She had very few friends in school and now almost nobody talked to her at work. She was an introvert who preferred to stay inside, and it was starting to take a toll on her. She decided she was gonna force herself to be more social, but quickly learned it was easier said than done. A massive heatwave had hit her city and an idea popped in her head. Nina decided to call a few of her co-workers and ask if they wanted to go out for ice cream. All of them made lame excuses as to why they couldn't go and Nina began to feel depressed. "I know a way you can make countless friends" a voice said. "Huh? Who said that?" Nina asked, looking around. "That's not important, I've been monitoring you Nina and I think I have a solution to your problems. It might sound ridiculous but just stay with me here. This heatwave going on is actually the result of your sun going supernova. I can give you the power to stop it, and you'll be treated like a hero on your planet" the voice explained. "What? How on earth am I going to stop a supernova?" she asked, bewildered. "Not on earth, for starters" the voice said before Nina felt herself black out. She woke up moments later in an unfamiliar location. It took her only a few seconds before she realised she was floating in space. She felt a slight heat coming from near her feet, and after turning her neck to look was met with the sun. "What the fuck?" she muttered. "I know this is a lot to take in, but I have altered your size to an incredible amount. At this size you are completely invulnerable. The sun going supernova will not hurt you in anyway. You can use this power to protect your planet, which is too small for you to see now but its floating just above your pinkie toe, perfectly safe" said the voice. "O-ok" stuttered Nina, still not being able to fully comprehend what was going on. Suddenly she heard an incredible explosion as the sun turned into an amazing array of colours. She barely felt a thing. "Well done Nina! Your planet is safe. Here, have a new sun, this one won't go supernova for billions of years. Now, I'll return you back to your normal size" said the voice. Nina pondered for a second. "I think I prefer this size, actually. Being the guardian of my planet is far better than my boring desk job where nobody ever paid attention to me. Plus, I think I prefer being alone anyway" she said. "I had a feeling you'd say that, almost everyone wishes to stay their new size. Welcome to the Planetary Protection Agency" the voice said. Nina's smile widened.
