Description This is my contests entry for Mermaid contest where we drew one or more of the Confection Cuties as mermaids.

Naturally, I chose Rose since she's my favorite. I'm quite happy with the way this turned out but I found that I'm terrible at drawing underwater related pics and especially fins XD

It's suppose to look like she's swimming just under the surface in shallow water with the lighter blue indicating the sky above her through the water.

Pose is based on a picture of Ruri Hoshino from the Nadesco Prince of Darkness movie, but I don't have a link to the picture itself because I lost it.

Oh my... this is such a beautiful picture, what an excellent entry for #Confection-Cuties-FA 's contest! I really like how you drew Rose as a mermaid, as well as how as she is swimming under water, and the background details turned out equally great. This reminds me of a video I saw on YouTube of two mermaids fighting over a fisherman. That's a compliment, by the way.

I love the POV on this picture as it looks like Chibiusa is coming toward the 4th wall and then it's set low where it looks up to her. It's a unique angle I like.
