My entry for *Ysa 's historical Pokémon contest.The battle takes place shortly after Ho-Oh was born, long before the regions we know today existed. He doesn't fight directly, but offers his strength to the army defending him, the land he comes from and the Empress who possesses him.

Baby Ho-Oh is adorable and the whole thing must have been tedious to draw. Someone else mentioned that it should be in a museum and I agree. The style would fit in perfectly in the Far East wing of any good art museum.
