Description
The painting progression of my DrowTales DIVA piece: [link]Now this piece uses a more soft paint style than my usual cell style, so there are fewer steps here.
Also it should be noted that I made this image and character to mimic the style of Blackmyst, the artist originally illustrating this character.
Step1: B&W lineart (multiply) over a 50% grey background. Makes it easier to light than flat white or transparent checkers
Step2: Flat color, with one light and one dark shade (normal and under lines)
Step3: Highlights and underlighting added
Step4: hair strings, skin circuits and under circuits added.
Step5: Background star field added. This was taken from the wallpaper that this character was originally developed for, so there is no sequence
Step6: Background aura effect
Step7: foreground glow effect

Mana based energy type. That's pretty much it. The specific details of "how it works" aren't set out and are left to convention to explain their presence.

At this point it's pretty much that. She's a talking hologram pin-up in a few scenes.
The character she's based on has more going on but that stuff is still currently developing and being revealed. You can read about that in Moonless Age at Drowtales.
