Description
Spent over a month working on this Ninjago fan animation for a friend's MAP.
The MAP is basically set up as a tribute to the show's lead writers who are leaving the team to pursue other projects. I've always loved Ninjago dearly so I'm really honored to participate! Animating this was super fun, though drawing the rope was rather... frustrating. Oh yeah I complain about that rope too much. In truth it did help improve my overall rope drawing abilities. XD So yeah, fun.
Also please do check out the youtube video I made for this. The animation is in higher quality plus you also get sound.
I also included various WIP stages as well as some speed animation to show how I colored the characters. So if you are interested in that then definitely do check it out.
Anyway, I recently got an animation course on how to animate walk-cycles. I'll probably be working on studding that so my future stuff will look better. (As I can see multiple areas in this animation that could use much improvement. XD)

I absolutely love this. Especially the "glittery eyes" bit X) Also the process video was pretty magical! It was fascinating to see how you did all of the little things, like the motion blur, that I barely noticed (consciously) on the final product because it was just so natural and fitting! Also, the kind of dedication that you had to stick with that project for a month is amazing.

Granted I noticed a few days ago a blaring error where I missed a piece of rope to color. (I know how it happened to I'm just really frustrated I didn't catch it during the playbacks.) I can easily fix it in this post scene DA allows to change the main image,(which I'll probably update this soon), however for the YouTube video it's just starring at me in the face. ( >_>)
ANYWAY! Also thank you for the feedback on motion blurs. I can easily pick out exactly where each blur is and they stick out to me very much, so it's pleasing to hear they actually blend well to the non animator's eye. XD I don't want to be too hard on myself especially when I notice all the mistakes, though I do hope to learn from them and improve. Main thing is as long as it's enjoyable. 
As far as dedication goes, while I do have a lot of patience, I admittedly got distracted with Kingdom Hearts videos for about a week or so there.

I have two knee jerk reactions to the idea of making longer animations:
A part of me loves the idea to see myself improve to make longer and more enjoyable videos.
The other side cries at the thought of how much time and effort longer videos would take to fully animate.
All said in done I wish to turn to the first option. XP
