[2AM, Inkopolis in universe SMG4. Meggy was training hard for Splatfest, as ever. But, human bodies require more...energy, than Inkling bodies. Stress has run her ragged, as her her training. She collapses at her desk whilst studying common and advanced strategy, and begins to dream. She passes in and out of restlessness, dreaming of all manner of things. Meeting Mario, meeting Tari, the T-Pose Zombies, Axol, Francis, Desti...poor, poor Desti. And finally, she finds herself alone in a corridor. It is in an apartment, dingy and seemingly abandoned, all for but one room. A faint blue light is coming from underneath the door crack, and the sounds of some dreadful TV blasting out, alongside...eating sounds?]

Meggy: Where am I? ...What is this?

[She cautiously opens the door - without knocking, this is a dream dammit she can do what she likes - and steps into the room. It's a rather poor apartment building, for sure. Kitchen in front, front room taking everything else up, bathroom and bedroom off to the side. Someone is lying on the sofa, noisly munching on some pizza. More pizza is scattered around the sofa. The kitchen is dirty, disorganised and covered in half-eaten food. The smell alone makes her gag.]

Meggy: H-Hello? Can you tell me...where I am?

???: A goooooood timeline, Meggs.

[Confused by the answer, Meggy approaches the sofa and sees who it is. And on the sofa, covered in pizza and cola, is...Meggy?! Herself?! Only she's...oh boy she is FAT. Chunky, more specifically, with a rather noticable gut and wide arms and legs. She's wearing new clothes, a large, baggy orange shirt with a pumpkin on it, and an orange beanie. She's stuffing more pizza into her mouth, chews, swallows and unleashes a ghastly burp that she seems to enjoy.]

???: Hee hee...that was a good one.

Meggy: What th-WHAT IS THIS?! Who are you?

???: I'm YOU, Meggs!

Meggy: ...Wh-what?

???: I'm you! From the future! One year, seven months, two weeks, three days, eight hours, twenty-six minutes and thirteen-point-three seconds since you lost Finalfest.

Meggy: ...I-

Future Meggy: You did! Someone comes along and WHU-URP-BAM! Breaks your human leg. Knocks you right out the comp. You loooose the last one.

Meggy: Y-You're lying! It's not even happened yet, this is just-

Future Meggy: A dream? [takes a big bite out of another slice of pizza] Mmm, pepperoni. Whatever you wanna beleive. You took it real hard...retired from the public eye, ran away from all your friends...[burp] and along the way, you picked up an affinity for pizza and Daytime TV!

Meggy: But, I'd never do any of this! This can't be my future! I'm not becoming some useless fat slob like this! That's Mario's job.

Future Meggy: I daresay you become him. [slurps drink] Truth be told it does get...rather lonely. Alllll alone with no friends, no family. No Desti. Just you, and all this pizza and cola! Forever empty, forever hollow. The simple life of a failure.

Meggy: Stop it! You're not me, I can't allow you to be me! I'm just, hallucinating this, yeah! I'm slowly going crazy!

Future Meggy: I wonder what's driving that.

Meggy: SHUT UP! I am NOT gonna lose Finalfest! This is MINE, in the bag! I can't fail...I-I can't!

Future Meggy: ...Are you sure?

[Meggy stops, a single, derranged sob escaping her throat.]

Future Meggy: All that build up, all that sorrow, all that heartbreak. For nothing. Francis would win! And how would Desti feel?

Meggy: shut up shut up SHUT UP SHUT UUUUUP! Y-You're lying! I can still decide my future! YOU MEAN NOTHING! [turns and sprints out the room] I gotta get out of here!

Future Meggy: We shall see! Or, you'll see. I already saw it a year ago. Heh heh...now, where're those funions?

Yes I know Future Meggy's hair is clipping through the sofa it's a dream don't question it.

For all intents and purposes, I actually made this before SMG4 releated that teaser trailer. But he did that, so now this'll be a perfect time for me to upload it. I don't have much to say about it, it's just "okay but what if Meggy loses Finalfest and spirals into a deep depression bringing pizza?". I regret I made Chonk Meggy...and moreso it came out so well. I SUPPOSE I can upload the dupe (because yes, I saved it for some godforsaken reason) if anyone actually wants it. There's even a second half to this, that'll go up...soon. Probably not tomorrow or the weekend, as I do have a family get-togther to go to and internet is frankly, a 50/50. So, see you then. Maybe.
