(I still can't draw Sonic right...after all these years...)

WELP, here it is. My 1000th Deviation. Eight years, a house change and several embarrasing circumstances and goofs on my part, but I've made it. Well, 1000 Deviations counting the Journals since DA does that as well, for some reason. And NOT counting the ones I've deleted over the years...which, let's be honest, are not many. But I've kept them up for two real reasons. A: Because I don't have the time or paitience to go through EVERY SINGLE deviation up to around 2015 and delete each one in turn and B: Because then one can see how I've changed over the years. I remember when my first OCs weren't actually Lowell (or Perry, as he was a self-insert at the time) or Traveller (or Master, yes he was a self-insert too), but rather two Sonic recolours named Volcano and Electric. Yes, really. Funny thing is, I actually redesigned them yonks back to look more original, but I never got around to redesigning them again for today. Maybe I'll do that one day.

But yes, I went from an Orange Sonic to a techno steampunk vampire wolf. From no punctuation and lousy spelling to perfect grammer with minor hiccups here and there. From being a little shit and lashing out at everyone to choosing my outbursts and battles more wisely. From MS Paint artwork to...actually I'm still using MS Paint and let's be honest my stuff hasn't gotten THAT much better but hey! I'm getting somewhere! And all that time, I have amassed a number of friends. Not many, but they're brilliant people always by my side. Like FREAK-FRANK , Doodles626 , ToaArcan , Sonar15 , ValiantPhoenix and more besides, plus the friends I made via the Free Scribes of Mobius forums. I'll put the link to that below.

So yeah. 1000 images and the like. Decided it was time to rebrand a bit. Eh, sort of. I've already done that with this reboot but, well, I haven't actually done all that much at the moment. Partly because of coursework (which thankfully is over for the summer) and partly because...well, I get lazy. Hell, I've spent the last couple of months working on a Freedom Planet fic. Nearly finished, too. But I'll get to that when I get to it. IF I get to it. But for now, I've decided to make it eaiser for myself and refocus my work into three main areas, not counting one-offs and stuff like Ask the Cast. To that end, there are three areas of focus here;

SH-123 - SONIC THE HEDGEHOG
"Sometimes ya gotta take it slow, you know? So you can really understand what they all want out of you. Me? I know I'll keep running, and saving the day with all the help I can get! And I know my big old brother will be smiling down on me as I do it."

Tasked with saving the world from evildoers and madman, Sonic the Hedgehog teams up with his closest friends and his furthest enemies in order to save the day. Lighthearted and comedic, with its dark moments.

Protagonists:

-Miles "Tails" Prower
-Knuckles the Echidna
-Blaze the Cat

Multiverse Explorers - LOWELL HIGHCASTLE
"Look, I've been all over the multiverse. I've seen time running backwards, I've seen a water wraith, I've seen a world where everyone smokes pot and I've played pool with planets. And if there's ANYTHING I've learnt from that, it's this; savour your time with your friends. Make the best of it. 'Cause one day, you won't have the time."

Bored of everyday life, and coming across a method of roaming the multiverse, Lowell Highcastle gathers his wife and best friend and use this new power to wander around the multiverse as vigilantes, defending alternates and the downtrodden from all manner of evil, be they friends in one world and foes in another, escpaing the wrath of the No-Zone police. Equal measures of lighthearted and darkhearted, while also having elements of The Surgeon and The Extraordinary League of Lilacs.

The Travellerverse - THE TRAVELLER
"Okay...so what you're saying is that me - a guy who's just woken up from sleeping through the apocalypse, with no memory of who he is, why he's here and has powers that blow his arms off - to save the world from an invincible, unknowing evil that even the previous generation of heroes died to. Right...I'm gonna need some help."

Awoken to a world where hedgehogs have fallen and the Black Arms rule the world, The Traveller has no memory of his life, or his love. All he knows is that he is a super-soldier, designed to lay waste to these aliens and take back the world. Off he goes around the planet, saving those who have resisted and keeping the needs of his own group from overwhelming him. Probably the darkest of the three, but also the most heroic because of it.

Protagonists:

-The Blade of ARES (Automatic Responsive Execution System)
-Azima
-War Lilac

Antagonists:
-Black Doom
-Shadow the Hedgehog

So...yeah, that's what I'm planning. Go ahead and ask me about anything you don't understand. I can tell you, no problem. Only time will tell for if I actually manage to uphold this stuff. This year will be a big change for me and...yeah, getting a job can get in the way. But, I've got to buckle down. It's time to get serious. But I certainly won't forget this. I may be small, and not that known, but I know what I want to do and I have people to support. And thank you, thank you all, for helping me get to where I am now.
