So uh...I sort of forgot this was happening? WELL no, it kind of snuck up on me in the middle of a bad spell, so I was caught off guard. So I had to do both Days 'cause I missed Day 1. Good thing I know of a map that could double for both!
DAY 1: Hot Beverages
So the theme for this year's Pearlina Week was "Autumn", which, fair enough. And the first one is what everyone thinks of when it comes to Autumn. BASIC B[redacted]H HOT DRINKS! Pumpkin Spice and that. I...I don't think I've ever tried it. I prefer caramel syrup. Honestly a lot of people had good ideas for this one, shoutout to insert-creative-name's first day (Pearlina Week Day 1- Hot Beverages ) as it's hilarious and straight to the point, but I dunno I'm proud of this one. A nice little scene, a little hut turned coffee shop and...yes. I even used the Sunset Paradise fan models. For no real reason. Just to say I did. And Auri's not on fire this time! Lucky him. Just uh...ignore the culling on the buildings. I didn't see it until I took the picture.
DAY 2: Splatoween
YEP...this one's simple. I get why Day 2 is Halloween themed, it's Autumn stuff an' all...but it IS November. We've already moved onto Christmas...hell we did that near the end of September. CaPiTaLiSm. Anyway, for Halloween this year I made these dupes for Marie as Jason and Callie as Freddy Krueger. I used them in the Halloween 2021 pic, actually. Thought I might as well get use out of them, hence them being part of this Haunted Barn, giving Marina and Pearl a good scare. She WAS holding a chainsaw in the original draft, but the only chainsaw model I had on hand didn't fit with the pose I wanted her to have...and, she's cosplaying as Jason. GOTTA have the Machete.
Anyway, that should be enough. Tune in tomorrow for Day 3, which is...Pumpkins and Apples. Hmm...I have an idea!
And if you're wondering, I didn't make a flannel retexture for the Sunset Meggy model for this. I DID make a retexture, but that is literally just the texture for the flannel shirt in Splatoon 2 applied to her clothing. It...worked, for some dumb reason. I dunno.
