To be honest, I'm quite happy that Minecraft is quite hip again. I understand it may be a simple thing, but Minecraft is one of my favourite games ever made. Like, period. If I had to list my top five games of all time, I suppose ol' Minceraft would be at #2, just above Splatoon 2 and quite below Borderlands 2. It fell out of favour and was seen as a cringy thing for years, not helped by rampart god-awful Minecraft Youtubers, including a few who veered into, uh, outright criminal activity. Eew. But now it's back, the parody covers are back and memed to high hell (insert that lyric here. You know the one), Youtubers are playing it and showing some true creativity in their works...seriously, look at the Vanoss crew's new Minecraft videos, they show a lot of unique stuff in it for what it's all worth, and they're really funny. Better than their fucking Fortnite content, by a wide margin. A lot of people might say it came back from the dead, but to be honest, it never died to me.

So that, plus a Pearlina fic that is inexplicably set in the Minecraft world but is nevertheless an entertaining piece of fiction, AND finding a neat Minecraft map on the GMOD Workshop, all combined to make me go, "You know what, I'mma make a Squids in Minecraft pic!" It was going to be just Callie and Marie...but then I noticed allllllll the space I had on the map and I went...just a little mad. So I kind of made a few scenarios using a good amount of the dupes I have, some you're familar with and about...five you're probably not. From top to bottom;

#1 Callie Heads off down the Mineshaft, Half-Equipped

Callie: Bye, Cousin! I'm gonna go mine some iron and whack some spiders!

Marie: You might wanna carry something a little more sturdy then wood, then. Oh Cal...

#2 Markus and Omega lay low after FinalFest

Markus: Beaten to the punch, forced out of the city, watching from afar as War 'Rina slaughters the Inkling population...and now, stuck in a universe of cubes...

Omega: Oh, cheer up. It's not that bad here...we've got food and shelter, at least. It's safe...

#3 Ve and Marja being Pure, Wonderful Lesbians

Ve: Hey! Heeeeeeey! Up here! [Marja looks up] YOU'RE ADORABLE!

Marja: [close to happy tears]You're adorable...

#4 Marina making Pearl a new Sword

Marina: I'm just saying, Pearlie. You're gonna need something a bit better than that if you wanna defend yourself.

Pearl: But dual Butter Swords, 'Rina! BUTTER SWORDS!

#5 The Octo-Groupies Have a Chat

Verda (Green): Markus DID save a lot of people from that crazy Octo's wrath. A lot of us would be dead were it not for him.

Coba (Blue): Did it REAL quick, too! Can't beleive Ocho had a hard time getting him fit and then he goes and does THAT.

Ocho (Magenta): I mean, sure, sounds like a decent enough guy to me...

Blossom (Yellow): I KNOW! Isn't he just the best?! [swoon]

Vitra (Orange): ZZZZZZZZZZZ...

Now, who are the Octo-Groupies? Simple! A friend of mine, who is...currently not on DeviantART, hmm, made a selection of Octolings who are, shall we say, big fans of my kinda-sorta-Inksona, Markus. It's a little odd, but it's a nice gift. I plan to use them in a few more things, maybe, one day. From left to right, we have Verda (who may or may not be Agent Eight), Coba (a Sonic fan), Ocho (a fitness nut), Blossom (an ex-Elite and current pacifist) and Vitra (who can't keep herself awake to save her life).
