Yep. I'm doing this. CONTEST, WOO

So yeah, I'm doing a contest! I always planned for three people to leave the War Splats after 2020; War Meggy (she was better off as a human anyway), War Ika (more down to AshieVeemo 's comic rather than my call but I like these overarching stories so I rolled with it) and War Rider (because frankly he was always a random pick and his character arc was basically done after Missing Memory). So now I need three more members. And well, I got two. Two of Chad-Reborn 's Warmongers kind of ended up in there, and I'm making a comic on how they end up joining (at least from my perspective, I know Chad also has the panels for their origins on his end). So I need one more. And because I can say I have a fanbase around Warmongers now, and have done for some time, I decided fuck it; Contest Time!

Yes, you too can have an OC (not a self insert, I am NOT going into that territory, an OC) can join the War Splats and take part in their evil plans! I have some simple rules up there, but as it turns out I didn't have enough space to make it detailed AND readable, so allow me to elaborate on the rules here;

1: The Contest is active between the 31st of January and the 15th of Febuary, ending midnight UK time. 15 days should be enough...right?

2: The needed things for the entrant is;

-The Character in question - render AND dupe are appreciated.

-Their general bio - Name, Species, Warmonger Type, Age, Personality and how they became a Warmonger*

-Any Weapons they use - the less addon packs needed to make it work, the better. The weapon in question can range from Splatoon guns to firearms to swords and axes and so on.

-Their place in the base. Download the Subterranian map, linked below, and pick out a good spot for them to stay. Furnish it with their stuff and post a render of what that room looks like to me. Again, the less addons needed to bring it to life, the better. Sadly the official save me and Chad use is Hidden, so look back over previous comics and renders to see which spots are still free. If that fails, ask me and I'll give you a spot you could use. As mentioned above this isn't nessecarly required, but it does help me out in the long run and will help your chances. Is that fair? Hard to say.

3: Characters MUST be a Splatoon character; Inkling, Octoling, DarkMario's Salmonlings (if they work) and Tarlings, the latter two of which will be posted below. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to move the Warmonger concept BEYOND Splatoon, but I simply lack much in the way of assets to do so, and besides; this is a Splatoon-centric team, as mentioned above.

4: It is very important that the entrant serves a purpose in the base. They can't just sit around, they have to DO something, something that the others don't already do. Even if it's just another meat shield for War Pearl, just something. For reference, here is a list of the current roles filled out in the base;

-War Marie runs the Armoury, works on guns and acts as War Pearl's primary muscle in the group.

-War Callie runs the infirmiry, keeping stock of healing supplies and healing other Warmongers of injuries out in the field.

-War Marina spends her time in the Workshop Distillery. She creates whatever gadgets the team needs for the current role, as well as researching new technologies. AND brewing enough OctoScotch to strip a sedan's paint job.

-War Raidark is the chef, and he cooks meals for the group. That is, when they don't get interdimensional takeout, which probably DOES exist. Just don't ask him where he gets his ingredients.

-War Shocker doubles as a generator for when the power is out, at least until his own core burns out and needs a recharge itself.

-War Agent 4 keeps to himself, but he keeps tabs on potential Warmongers in his "area" that might be of some use to the team.

-And finally, War Pheobe is also War Pearl's muscle, but also their sneaky thief who does all the stealing they need to keep supplies high.

For a good place to start, the lack of War Rider now means Security is...lacking.

5: I really shouldn't have to say this, but any Mary Sues or Godmodders will be ignored. I am not looking for some overpowered Warmonger who is all the types and super strong and could beat all the War Splats in a fist fight. By all means make them reasonably powerful, especially in a single craft, but anyone who is stronger than a Drone, smarter than a Tac and more commanding than an Apex, ALL AT THE SAME TIME, will be shown the fucking door. I've had too many people have their characters burst into completely remote scenes and just swear justice and start "fighting" with their everything proof shield up. I simply won't tolerate it.

6: But most importantly, just have fun. I know these rules may seem strict, especially that last one, but really I just want people to enjoy my work and make new things based off of it. It's just that some people (COUGHmorganCOUGH) take it too far, swanny in and act like they own the damn place. Just sort of spoils the fun for the rest of us, right? Let's have fun, but also let's be civil. Yeah? We're all here to have a good time. And judging by how the first month of 2021 has gone, we need it.
