Thinking of Christmas, I always enjoy watching A Christmas Carol every year, and now I can't help but think of Hiccup whenever Tiny Tim comes on the screen with his crutch and his grateful attitude even though he can't run like the other boys.

In this picture, we have Tim waiting outside his father's workplace in the cold, his hand-me-down attire looking most worn by the time that he inherited them.

A burst of snow has started to fall again, while carolers across the street are hazarding quite a vocal thrashing by singing this close to the business place of old Ebenezar Scrooge.

A gentleman in a top hat exits a shop with packages, and shoppers traversing the distant street hurry to finish their last minute Christmas shopping before they head home to warm by their fireplaces.

Many thanks to Contraltissimo and Pepper who helped spark the idea for this picture in a conversation we had and who also kept quiet about this as I labored on the picture.
