Description
Narrator: "Suddenly, the forest behind the viking guys bursts alive with a terrifying scream and a roar!"The guys immediately spin around to face whatever it is that threatens them. They vaguely see its dark, enormous outline rising to a towering height. Then with another bellow, the creature emits a blinding shockwave of light which blasts through the air and momentarily lights the entire forest around the hot spring.
"The creature is huge! And it brandishes rows of sharp teeth and a massive tongue as it moves toward the guys. With the light burst fading and darkness returning to the scene, the creature lets out a piercing shriek that echoes off the rocks all around the vikings."

Sorry Ruffnut! For a viking, you smell good!
Dang! I kept doing switching their names EVERY time I posted a part of the Hot Spring story! Ch4rms caught one of them.
It's amazing that even though I re-write my text numerous times and proof them about 5 times, I keep switching Ruffnut and Tuffnut! *tilts head back and screams!*
LOL

Did I ever tell you about the time that I went to summer camp and got leaches on me?

FjordMustang In reply to masterrohan [2011-02-09 17:15:40 +0000 UTC]
Oh, I can so relate to that. I just hope you got the leeches from swimming/waterfalls and not from the camp's First Aid center techniques

Hahaha! The first aid center was the best thing about the camp! The nurse was very pretty and super nice! I tried to make sure I had some reason every year to visit the first aid station.
The leeches came from a hike we took. Near the end of it, someone found one on them, so then everybody started checking themselves. I had two near my ankle on my left leg. I absolutely freaked out! Childhood is filled with such wonderful memories!

True on that. But I think those memories are important, if not for anything to show that life goes on- leeches are not the end of the world and we humans are not as modern as we think we are.
Sounds like the typical nurse camp. Good excuse to get sick for a guy with taste in fine women.
Interesting how you got the leeches. Were you going through swamps or standing water? You usually pick up leeches from being in water or wading through water.

Hahahaha! "A guy with a taste in fine women" Oh the whims of adolescence!
Yes, it was a marshy area on the outskirts of the camp, and it was not a chaperoned hike! We had free time, so a group of us boys decided to go on an adventurous exploration of the area. My counselor was livid when I finally got back since we didn't have permission to be in that area. Of course, he calmed down a little when I started crying about the leeches and he took me to see the nurse.
Yes, the "bad" memories are very important. We end up drawing a lot out of them throughout life.
