So all of the prior pictures I have colored in the last month or so have led to this. I wanted to get to an acceptable level of coloring before posting my fembots. I feel I am there. I am in no way near finished learning and improving. But at least I feel this picture looks nice. Could there be more gradations of color? Yes. Should she look more shiny? Probably. I still need to learn how to make my line art less prevalent in the finished image. Here I reduced it to a gray tone rather than pure black. I feel with fembots there still needs to be hard edges though. These are very time consuming for me still as I learn more and more shortcuts. But I am not helping myself with "dirty" scans because I used cheap paper and a desktop scanner. So the clean up takes half of the time.

Here is Arcee. As stated in my prior inked posting I took liberties in the design of her. To me she looks less shiny metal and rather shiny plastic or carbon fiber. So there is some more work to be done for me. I didn't want to go for cell shading. Or even just doing a 2-3 tone animation coloring. Perhaps this is part of the reason she looks "dull" to me. I also have decided for my fembots to have these types of eye sensors. Just big empty glowing sockets seem a little soulless (or Sparkless) to me. Also having the bright receptors in the center act as pupils helps give a sense of direction as to where the bot is looking.

As for the background. In order to save time I decided to pull out some of my vintage packaging and emulate them for all of my fembots with no drawn backgrounds going forward. It will save me time not having to worry about the background. Plus I really, really like the end result looking like vintage G1 packaging. I even thought about putting the logo and "transforms from robot to vehicle and back!" on these.
