Thanks for sharing these photos. For being one that has seen plenty of tiger photos, I must say it is pretty rare to see a melanistic tiger (and it's kind of obvious).

That tiger has some very thick stripes! Do you know which subspecies it is?

This is a royal bengal tiger - actually the appearance of thick stripes is due the tiger being melanistic..
