- General informations :

.The Sentinelles are the millitary forces of The Eye. Mainly compound of Typhons and Cyclones,
they also are the main defense of Abîme, fighting at side of Abîme City, Hollow Bridge and Void Gate forces.

.The Sentinelles are mainly leaded by Ambre and Dahalia King-Sunlight.

.They are divided in six differents groups more or less specialised, called "battalions" : "The Shields",
"the Spears", "The Wolves", "The Guardians", "The Thunders" and "The Iron Hands". Each Sentinelle wear his battalion's
symbole on a pennant.

.Their combat strategy is variable and depend on which battailon is concerned. they avoid useless
violences, losses and generaly useless enemy deads, even if The Shields and The Wolves are more brutals,
at the reverse of The Guardians, for whom not killing ennemies is the main rule. Each Sentinelle is
trained to become a capable and disciplined soldier, but also capable of empathy and discernment.

.They have no hate toward their enemy attacking them, and have already accepted to welcome Octolings
deserters that asked to join them (called "The forgiven" by the Typhons, or "The Renegades" by the Waves)
In the case of the Guardians, they also have some trusted Octoling in their ranks and are very appreciated
by these.

.Their arsenal is compound with weapons and armors of many different origins. During their first years
of activity, the Sentinelles were mainly using the old equipement of the Great War, at side of weapons
and armors they got on the Octoling who attacked them. With time they have been able to copy, modify
and upgrade this equipement, making them able to create their own gear.
But because of their problem of ink production, their ink weapons were still not very effective, and because
of an enemy that was getting stronger, they got to contact an unknown city and make a deal in order to
get access to an advanced kind of weapons that a Typhon could use effectively.
They also use a lot of melee weapons like swords and axes.

.As a kind of military service, every young Awakened Typhon of The Eye follows a training with the Sentinelles in order
to help them controling their Abyssal Instinct until they reach at least the "Thundercloud" state, which can take severals years.
After that, the Typhon can choose between staying with the Sentinelles in order to reach a higher state
(Whirlwinds or Storms) or even to officialy join the Sentinelles, and leaving. If they stay, they are able to choose a
batalion they will be assigned to and will be chosen by a mantor. Once they have proven themselves, if they reached majority
(15 years for a Typhon), they will recieve the pennant of their battalion, making them officialy a Sentinelle able to fight.

.An Abysse and a Cyclone can also join the Sentinelles. For the Abysses their normal training is a bit different because of physical
limits, but they can follow the same as the Typhons and Cyclones if they wish. Despite this, its pretty rare for an Abysse to join others
battalion than the Thunders, where they are very efficient.
