Pencil drawing . Format A 3The drawing shows my friend's grandfather. He served in the 19th Volhynian Lancers Regiment before the outbreak of the Second World War.
To draw a lancer, I used an archival photo of it, taken in a photo studio.
I placed it outdoors, drawing a horse next to it, and lancers on horses in the background.
