The all-mighty kirin. It was quite a long time ago when I last drew it. This came out to be rather horse-like though it should have the body of a deer. Well, at least it looks more powerful. And of course it comes along with magic stuff just to try to hide the lack of imagination in creating backgrounds. Oh, I wish the world was made of only characters in action with no BGs...Related content

Really beautiful piece you have here. The colors go so well together, and the pose and life of the animal are wonderful. The background is simple, but I think it works to your advantage here, and I love the details you did add to it.
The only thing I can see that I'd improve on would be to add more contrast to the whole piece; adding more shadows and lighter highlights would add the kind of drama that the creature deserves :3 Good job.
