Description
I used to love Gail Simone's "Secret Six" - it had a perfect blend of action, mystery, drama, romance and funny banter. I also love when writers take forgotten characters and turn them upside down. Catman had such a treatment, becoming a badass mofo and one of my favorite characters ever.Then there's this concept-art-god called Kris Anka. Back in 2013, he made this awesome Catman design. Once I decided to sprite Thomas Blake, I knew I had to go with Kris' design.

I still am bitter that Secret Six was one of the casualties of the New 52. I loved how they made Catman a badass, added more and more layers to Bane, Ragdoll as the lovable weirdo, cemented Deadshot as a top-tier character (IMHO), and made me care about Scandal Savage.
Also really dug when Simone had Giganta get revenge against Dwarfstar for the death of Ryan Choi.

Secret Six was definitely one of the major casualties, so much character development thrown away.
It was such a weird book too, right? I kept thinking "wow, I can't believe DC let's Gail get away with this stuff" but I'm really glad they did, because it was consistently one of the best books around.
