In Greek mythology Sisyphus was a king punished by being compelled to roll a huge boulder up a hill, only to watch it roll back down, and to repeat this throughout eternity.

I remember that myth. I can't remember what he did, but boy it must've been something bad. I really like the way you did this-it gives the myth a simple yet powerful feeling. Nice job.

Just looked it up; he chained up Thanatos, the God of Death, so that nothing on Earth would die. This pissed off Ares because no death means that battles have become less entertaining for him.
