Description
Airbrushed on the Side of a Zonix computer tower.Photo ref found from google image search.
Painted on my lil brothers computer tower for his bday present.
not as detailed if compared to the original which was done digital,theres only so much detail u can do with an airgun so i added a scratch effect in some areas,using my scalpel.
simplified it by only using white paint and used templates throughout.
drawing up template took 2hrs
cutting and painting took 8hrs
hope u guys like it.

That is an AWESOME effort. Cutting templates is a paint in the butt, but it really pays off when you get an end result that's so dramatic. I hope your brother was mighty pleased!

what a nice present
I was wondering how do you protect the holes from the paint going in?

the inside of the computer wont be effected.the biggest pain in the arse is painting xboxes because u need a pin tool to unclip the case off and it aint easy,wel i hate it.sometimes i cbf so i just put masking tape over the holes so paint cant get in lol

oh hehe that sounds like the perfect solution, I forgot with computer towers you can just take them apart so easily. I guess it may be harder for a laptop, hmm, but maybe if you do the screen part of the laptop, it doesn't need ventilation there does it? My old macbook is growing so junky lol, it's only 1 GHz processor and the battery recently died, so it only works when plugged in (did i mention the adaptor is falling apart?

yeh paint it up for sure,why not. just cover the vents with tape if u cant take it appart. i had a playstation mini
a few yrs ago,i used white house paint,then tryed airbrushing on it. It was a SHOCKER,lol never again,but i was stupid back then.
