Yes. Everytime I submit something new to DA I feel like this. But I made this little comic for a few reasons (asides from the stupid humor).
Regarding experimentation, this is one 
I'm thinking about adding another style to my list. This one being very stylized yet simple compared to what I usually do. It's very quick and I quite like it so far. I made the facial expressions extremely limited cause I wanted to focus more on the body language. I feel I lack in both body language and expressions so I want to try improve them both, starting with body language.
I think I'll just keep these faces to eyes though, I think it looks cuter that way (kind of like Gromit, he doesn't have a mouth either).
Also you may see from this why I don't draw comics much. I find it hard to draw the same character exactly each time, however I want to improve this. I'd love to draw comics more when I improve my humor and include more of my characters. I want them to seem living and breathing, and not just a pretty face/body on paper.Also worth pointing out that Anya's and Russel's wings can bend at the wrist like you see above. Makes drawing and remedial tasks much easier without a big wing in the way!
Please tell me what you think of this new style as well as my comics idea!

and don't worry...you aren't the only one who feels this way...sometimes i getso excited to upload something.... but once i get to the 'submit' part... i sit there for 15-30 mins staring at it wondering 'will anyone even like this?'...a couple of times it's caused me to close out of the window because i don't think anyone will... but later i'll think 'screw it, who cares' and upload it anyway xD

I'm glad you know the feeling. I've avoided submitting so many things in the past because of this reason. The thing I fear the most is being ignored in my opinion, it used to happen to me a lot. These days it doesn't happen as much but I'm still deathly afraid of it.
That's what happens when I'm easily discouraged .-.

and i definitely know how that feels, too...i have so many things i was really proud of that never got any attention...(still happens a lot now) but, you know what, i'll still upload stuff and hope one day i can get better

After getting little to know recognition for an image I submitted in the past (that I spent many many hours on) I just lost my confidence for that kind of thing. Feels like every time I submit something it's a huge gamble.

Still, here's a tip for helping characters look right in comics and stuff: (just note that you essentially do all of these things here and in your "Mommy" comic, I'm just attempting to be helpful)
Any medium that requires drawing the came character over and over again requires a line and color design that lends itself to that well. You have the line style, but the way your colors blend together like that, while it looks great, may prove more difficult than it's worth for comics.
Think of most mainstream superheroes or other comic book characters. Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, Garfield, Charlie Brown, etc. Their colors don't blend like yours do here. Their colors are usually distinctly separated somehow.
Lastly, and this is something I've learned from experience, you're never actually going to succeed in making your characters look perfectly like they do in other panels. There is always something that's not going to look right, and the trick there is to A. do your best anyway, and B. let it go when it doesn't turn out well. You will get better with time, but never to your own personal satisfaction.

I don't intend on making actual manga/comic-book style comics anytime soon. They tend to take a lot of time and planning which I don't have right now.
I was more referring to simple strips like these. Though a lot of what you said still applies.
With almost every manga I've seen they have super detailed designs that far surpass my own, even compared to my normal drawings. It's that kind of level I dream to achieve, however not getting ahead of myself. I know it takes persistence and practice to be able to draw the same things twice relatively perfectly, but for whatever reason I have great difficulty. With my past human characters it was almost impossible to tell them apart because their details would change with every image. Even with my handwriting it keeps changing, I have to keep verifying that I wrote it. It's an issue that I need to try get over.
But for now, I think I'll stick to my strengths with just normal images. I'd only draw things like these for relateable/comedy reasons... which even then I need to improve upon.

Yeah it is a common feeling to me xD I've never had a forma instruction on drawing, and most of the time my technique/skills keep changing, so every time I upload something I feel like this.

I never had that either, especially in the past. Every time I uploaded something it looked different/worse(?) than my previous. These days I have more of a set style but I get worried more about the subject matter. Like do people prefer women from me? Or men? Deep stuff or just flashy shallow sex appeal (I hope to god not).

Well, it comes from growing up with the fear of never living up to my name, which happened a lot in my past. But maybe that has to do with my South African primary school being a DAMN tough place.

I think we all go through this at one time or another. I used to go through it all the time when I used to post something to Fursize, though it went into a mailing list and wasn't posted on the webpage for weeks or even months at a time.
I like the style; very simple and yet it gets the message across crystal clear.
