Yes. Everytime I submit something new to DA I feel like this. But I made this little comic for a few reasons (asides from the stupid humor).
Regarding experimentation, this is one 
I'm thinking about adding another style to my list. This one being very stylized yet simple compared to what I usually do. It's very quick and I quite like it so far. I made the facial expressions extremely limited cause I wanted to focus more on the body language. I feel I lack in both body language and expressions so I want to try improve them both, starting with body language.
I think I'll just keep these faces to eyes though, I think it looks cuter that way (kind of like Gromit, he doesn't have a mouth either).
Also you may see from this why I don't draw comics much. I find it hard to draw the same character exactly each time, however I want to improve this. I'd love to draw comics more when I improve my humor and include more of my characters. I want them to seem living and breathing, and not just a pretty face/body on paper.Also worth pointing out that Anya's and Russel's wings can bend at the wrist like you see above. Makes drawing and remedial tasks much easier without a big wing in the way!
Please tell me what you think of this new style as well as my comics idea!

That's true. I'm always concerned if people like my stuff or not, mostly cause I want to try please my audience without straying away from what I like as well. It's a tough balance.

Considering you're such an amazing artist, I dont think theres a lot of people who would think you'd react like this when submitting something because they're like "oh they're talented, they have no problem with such" but you do and you are human and you are allowed to be like this even if I want to tell you that people will always love what you will draw. Including me. I love it the most shhhhhhhhhhh <3
You should totally draw comics like this more often! The style is simple and easy to repeat when drawing a comic, so I think you should really go for it. You deserve all the applause in the universe

I'm glad you can understand my feels. I wish I had a pillow fort to hide in, though I can't eat anything while feeling anxious (it's what caused me to lose a lot of weight during stressful times :c )
And I'm glad you think so. It doesn't matter how popular someone is, they can still feel anxious about submitting something that may not be their "normal" thing. Just because you draw well doesn't mean people will notice it, or even care for that matter. I'm deathly afraid of neglect shhhh

I cant eat anything either when I get depressed or anxious. My therapy when I get like that is to go to sleep, but yeah. We can stack up all the sweets and eat them later after feeling like crap, its all good
And exactly, I am glad you got what I meant. Even if you might be popular, pretty, or whatever, you're still human. And we all can come around to feel this way when either submitting an art piece or trying to perform anything at all. ~

You're right, it's what you think that really matters. But getting recognition and praise for something you work hard on or trying something new is important too, at least to me it is. I get discouraged easily, and very anxious over pleasing other people. The recognition is a huge motivation for me to strive on and continue, it adds to my initial motivation I get for drawing.

Yeah, I'm sure we've all had that feeling. But there's nothing wrong with trying something new in your art from time to time.

That's what I think as well. The same-old same-old gets... well, old after a while. I like to experiment with different styles, stories and subject matter to keep things interesting.

Yeah I've been working on some funky or querky little Ideas. I haven't uploaded it yet but it is quite strange.
Anyway no ones opinion should ever have you scared under the pillows, just don't let anyone sink you cheerio, as the great NOODLE BOY said.

I got some pretty strange ideas too, I just need to draw them.
Unfortunately I'm someone who's easily discouraged, it's scared me off DA for 2 years at one point. I like to draw, though I also like to know that what I draw is still liked, or to get some kind of recognition for the hard work I do.
I never used to get it in the past so I get scared that the hard work I do these days never get's seen, or it's disliked, especially if it's something new.
Besides pillow forts are super fun.

I'm not sure if you just want to see more man-abs or trying to see how the whole wing-thing would work.
Although their wings aren't that obstructive. Like shown up there their wings can fold at the wrists like a normal bird's can. That's how they'd put on their shirts. Though long-sleeves are still a little iffy..

I want to try lighten up on the sex appeal. I want to try get people interested in the character more than the appearance. Russel is a fucking twat (huehue) and I'd like people to see how ridiculous he can be, rather than only see that he's got pecs.

I don't think I'll be starting an actual comic, I mean more like the occasional comic strip. I'd need a much larger audience to warrant the success of any kind of enormous manga/comic book.
