Map for an (im)possible dissolution of Italy.
Seriously, for an italian this scenario is really improbable.
Why you (I mean, all you) use always and only regional borders without any changes?

What? Do you talk about Italian municipal elections? No, I didn't design this map because of that.

Ah XD No, I got the idea reading about Spanish old history, when Philip of Anjou tried to recover lost Italian kingdoms that, later, would form the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies.

ah yep, he tried to recover Naples together with Milan...France, Spain and later Austria could part freely Italy after 1500 because the Italians were divided, one against the other and didn't have the strength to respond, in fact, those few times that we united before the unity in 1861 we never failed contrasting strangers armies
and that's mainly why I believe that Italy divided would be a failure (especially divided in this way )

Well, Tirrenia is more like to become a socialist Republic (Tuscany is a Red-vote region, like Emilia) rather than Padania
which was historically supported by the Lega Nord, which is a Right wing party

Yes, Padania is an idea supported by the Lega Nord but I think that "Tirrenia" is not very different to "Padania". See this map about last general elections: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia…

Actually many people don't consider the PD a true left-wing party
