Description Terragen 17 - Wish upon a Starless Night
Render - Terragen
Planet - PSP6 + Flaming Pear LunarCell Plugin (I added textures and shadows as fit)
Comet - PSP6 tube with small tweaks

Okay, while I am learning more and more about the texturing in Terragen I obviously still don't have it down (hence the version 1). I also tried to give it a sense completely alien to Earth SO DONT SAY IT DOESNT LOOK REAL!!!!!! I want it to look tripped out and unnatural. I am very pleased with the water especially in this one.

The moss texture is all goofed up...way too thick and doesnt show the land enough. The far hill needs reworked as well and I need some more texture up in the high places. I like the planet though...gives it a nice little touch. At first I was gonna entitle it "Wish Upon A Star" but I wanted the blackness so i put a single comet falling and titled it as such.

Comments? Suggestions? Everything is welcome, thanks again!

i think it looks pretty damn good right now. The sky is amazing The good thing about this one is that you put all kinds of.. geographic areas (i guess that's what you'd call it) in one picture, which makes it even better. so uh.. I can't really give you any suggestions though, because i dont know how to use terragen
Well, whatever the next version is... it'll probably be twice as better, but i'm gonna go ahead and give it the +fav anyway

wow matrix7, this is really nice...

Insane depth that really pulls you into this piece. The textures you depicted really fill out the composure excellent.
The angle really takes you into this piece and im going to reiterate what others said-- but i must say the moon and water are beyond pleasing to the eye. Everything flows so smooth with the darker gloom to the piece making the forms really stand out especially with the textures and the dunes and futuristic landscape add extremely well to this peices originality... a must +:favorite:

very nice and original work you got here

i think this would look nicer with a smoother flowing landscape, but thats just me i dont think the surfaces are as bad as you say, but i defiantly see a couple of small faults eg: surface of greens straigt down straight line cliffs

apart from them small things i think this a great innovative idea well done

Damn that gigamtic moon realy makes this sky awesome! Water looks nice too. Lighting is nice but if its night shouldnt it be darker? Gues you picked out the rest. Damn you dont submit often but when you do its great.

I looked at the full view, before reading your description, then went back and read it.

You pick out all those faults. I did not notice any of that.

All I saw was a very impressive piece of work.

I love the water, and the reflections, and the sky.. all look very good.

I'm not very familiar with this terregen program (or whatever it is) or what it does, but this is really damn impressive.

Beautiful work here.
