Description
Ryoko uses her martial arts to toss an enemy pirate to the deck, disarming him in the process. The trip/disarm combo is really, really nice in Pathfinder, I've found.
Ryoko is my Kitsune Bard in our local "Skull and Shackles" Pathfinder campaign. The campaign is played with somewhat house-ruled Pathfinder rules. For example, Ryoko uses a houserule bard archetype that trades out some bard knowledges and performances for a subset of monk abilities.

She's a bard? Heh. Until I read the description, I thought she was monk from how awesome this looks. Now it's even MORE AWESOME.

Well, she is a bard archetype that trades in some monk abilities. Still, the Pathfinder trip/disarm combo is pretty good, especially when there is a raging barbarian nearby...

Heh I was gonna make a kitsune bard (geisha though) for my friend's Skulls and Shackles game. This looks great.

Thanks! I'm really fond of how my GM blended bard and monk in this specific archetype.

Hardcore character! I'm not one for anthros normally, but she's definitely the exception.

Most of the time. XD If the dice are on their side, it wouldn't suck as bad. But the PCs are usually the ones who need to win, so yeah...

This seems pretty interesting. I've never played pathfinder, only 3.5, but it could be fun. Your character seems pretty cool.

My experience is that Pathfinder is like 3.5, but just a little better in many ways. And it is often in ways that are unexpected. For example, I seriously underestimated what Versatile Performance does for a Pathfinder bard, or how easier combat maneuvers are. Another example was that my GM found that it was much easier to wing an encounter in Pathfinder, since so much more content are OGL, which means more appropriately-leveled NPCs and Monsters are available online.

Sounds nice. If I ever get tired of 3.5, I'll look into it, but I don't feel like learning the new system and just spending weeks teaching all my friends to play it as well. We all enjoy 3.5 and the funny things that we've done because of it. Like I built a character so strong that he busts down 3 foot thick hewn stone walls with his face and doesn't even flinch. I've made the scout class into the perfect scout character as well, well, to an extent. Anyway, Pathfinder sounds really interesting, but I guess I just don't really have it in me to learn something completely new right now.

Yeah, Pathfinder's pretty fun. It's like 3.5e, but it fixes and merges some of the skills. Really easy to fall into if you've played 3.5e (only thing is, you may forget that "Jumping" is the same as "Acrobatics" or similar skills. That's happened to me AND my DMs who've played 3.5e prior)

I've noticed that if you've played a lot of 3.5 it is easy to miss a lot of the changes in Pathfinder, since you assume you know the rules and don't look them up...

Sounds like an issue. I personally love Warforged characters and their racial bonuses seemed to break the game if they were ever allowed into Pathfinder. Like, I remember one feat I saw that says "Your Damage Reduction is doubled until the beginning of your next turn, following which, you become exhausted. This ability cannot be activated while you are exhausted." Warforged are immune to the Exhaustion effect, so free damage reduction? Some things are just not prepared for other races.

Yeah, that feat was called Bolstered Resilience. And it actually only worked for one attack. XD But yeah, that would suck being on the wrong end of that.

Because it just says "Oh, hey, I'm a Warforged with Adamantine Body and multiple stacked damage reduction feats! NOW YOU CAN'T EVEN HURT ME!!!"
