Manufactured by Kamino's armorsmiths, the Phase I variant of Clone Trooper armor was the initial variant which the 200,000 clones who would participate in the First Battle of Geonosis would bear. Created from a plastoid composite, although appearing white to humans, Phase I armor was actually very colorful when shown in ultra-violet - the spectrum visible to Kaminoans. Initially, ranks were designated by colored stripes, with green signifying Sergeant, blue signifying Lieutenant, red signifying Captain, Yellow signifying Commander, and lack thereof signifying the rank of Trooper.
