Personality: Hiro is a very laid-back and good natured young man; despite his habit of swearing. Yes, he has a habit of swearing, however it is really hard for someone to make him lose his cool. He's chill and patient with others, and hates arguments between anyone, but he understands if Matsuo is screaming at someone. There are times he's sarcastic, but it's just to joke around. He enjoys joking around and pretty much doesn't give a damn about the bad crap happening around him, unless it has something to do with his group. He's very supportive of everyone, and really tries finding time to be with everyone else. He looks like he's this really friendly guy to strangers, meaning outside the group, but to others he's a sociopath and really turns away from people he doesn't know and won't care about.

Hiro is very talkative and loud when he is with his group, coming up with crazy ideas and plans with them. But inside he hopes he's not doing anything wrong to them. He is honest when he says he hates hurting his friends' feelings and all that, and that he feels immensely guilty should anything like that be done to them. He's like a brother to them, especially to Matsuo, who clearly gets annoyed with him when he actually tries his crazy antics to make her smile. He piggybacks her, he noogies her, he drags her to places, btu what makes him really get her attention and making her smile is inviting her to paint bloody pictures with him. Painting with blood is a trait they both share, and something he knows that can make Matsuo chill. But he's not this purely carefree guy, he has his problems, which he shares to Takeru, Aoichi and Reiji. He really doesn't want to share those things with Rin, seeing how big a worrywart she is for him, so he tells others his problems. His feelings do get hurt when he talk to Matsu, and it feels as if she's listening, and when she says she doesn't care- but knowing her, she makes more problems than solving. When it comes to protecting the group, he will never make himself stand down and kneel to his opponent, pushing forward and even cheating to win in a battle. He is deathly straight to the point in battle, and rushes in for the kill, hammering and beating his opponents to death.

When serious, his usual chill and cheery self is replaced by a cold, mentally tweaked and aggressive self. He rushes in for the kill, and will do anything to kill his enemy. He finds a twisted pleasure on hearing their bones shatter whenever they are struck by his rods, and when he is particularly pissed, he uses his studded rods or clubs, and he sees the blood fly everywhere. He collects the blood and paints with them in his room, twisted as it sounds, it's his hobby.

Though he was raised in a rich background, he isn't all that arrogant when it's just normal days, and not fighting. Rather, he loves gelling in with everyone and convinces them to hang out together.
