HEAR THAT PEOPLE? LISTEN/READ ATTENTIVELY
The Ice Flame is practically a Flame that (In my story with my sis) only Aleksaner uses. Nobody knows where it was from and why it's there but he can use it, and like what Ice does, it can 'freeze' rings of allies in order not to be tracked down anf of enemies as to not use their Dying Will Flames (unless the Will is very strong he can't freeze the ring and Flame, and for this Aleks needs a very Strong Dying will)
But it has a special ability of 'freezing' time and space, it allows the user to make the enemies COMPLETELY stop at where they are (like a paralysis) and either make a move to escape or just kill, and they are 'frozen' in the spot. And in relations to time and space one can alter his/her appearance with the use of this flame, hence why Aleks hasn't aged almost at all.
Since it can freeze Dying Wills, Aleks knows of this ability and has to intensify his Dying Will in order to completely crush another's in order to incapacitate them with the use of his Ice Flame, Freezing both the Ring and Heart (yes, the ba-dump) of a person.
