Personality: By nature, Fortuna is very dark in tone, and has a wicked sense of humor. She presents herself as a suave, smooth-talking, and charismatic showpony, with a lot of confidence, charm, and class. When making deals, she speaks in a friendly and relaxed tone, as if her only concern is the satisfaction of her customers; all the better to win them over. Beneath that veneer, however, she is sadistic, cruel, and remorseless, driven solely by greed and a lust for power. She has no qualms about terrorizing others in order to achieve her own goals, and typically relies on manipulation and false promises to do so. Should she feel a deal is going nowhere, she resorts to pressuring her victims into accepting her offer, additionally portraying herself as their last attempt at making their dreams come true.

History: Almost nothing is known about where Fortuna came from, or how she got her magical powers. It is known that she has history with Zecora, as the two have shown extreme disdain for one another. It's also known that she utterly despises those more wealthy and/or powerful than herself, which suggests that she likely grew up very poor. She has established herself as a physical beacon of hope towards ponies in despair, allowing them to strike deals and business propositions that would supposedly result in their happiness, should they successfully fulfill their end of the bargain. However, she will often interfere with her customers in order to ensure that they fail to uphold the deal. And when they fail, their souls are permanently in Fortuna's possession and their bodies turn to stone, which Fortuna then sells as statues.
