Personality: Moondust is an expert when it comes to makeup, particularly mascara and eyeliner. She takes great pride in her work, and is known to be rather sassy if she meets somepony whose fashion sense doesn't match her tastes. She also likes roses and floral patterns, and makes flower crowns as a hobby. If anypony makes a rude comment about her work, she doesn't let it bother her; she knows that her detractors can't do her job nearly as well as she can.

History: Growing up in Manehattan, Moondust knew from an early age that he wasn't like all the other colts at his school. He had always felt more comfortable in a dress and makeup than in a suit and tie. He would look at the beautiful mares in books and on TV, wishing that he could be as pretty as they were. While the other colts were out running around and playing sports, he would be on the playground with the fillies, helping them with their manes and makeup. This led to the colts calling him names like "sissy" and "gay boy". It wasn't until he reached adulthood that he began hearing stories of ponies who were transgender, and he finally understood. He wasn't a sissy; he wasn't even a stallion at all. With this revelation, Moondust began to reinvent herself, mentally transitioning from a stallion to a mare. She moved to Ponyville and opened up a makeup salon, where she caters to anypony who walks in, regardless of their gender.
