wow, this is great. the first thing that strikes me is the sparkle of the glasses in the light. it's just gorgeous. i love the darkness of the image, and i think it's really interesting that despite the fact that several things are going on visually, the one thing our eye is pulled straight to is the woman. the light hits her just right, and there is a great softness and a natural expression. it seems as if she is concentrating on someone or something else, which i think is great. it shows that you've captured a moment in time, and it's not staged, it's just natural. that is perfect for this kind of moment...a moment among family and friends that is relaxed and comfortable. nothing is spelled out specifically for us...which allows us to relate to the image in our own way. beautiful.
