Description
The Jupiter 2 spacecraft from the classic 1960s TV Show 'Lost In Space' created by legendary Film and TV producer Irwin Allen. The Jupiter 2 was the home to the Robinson family, as well as the ship's pilot Major Do West, the ship's robot Dr Zachary Smith a stowaway. The colourful adventire series ran for 3 sesaons. The Jupiter 2 was designed by William Creber (I believe - please correct me if I'm wrong!). The ship appeared to fly through the cosmos coutesy of L.B. Abbot's visual effects dept at 20th Centtury Fox, principally via a 4 foot diameter miniature under the supervision of the exceptionally talented Howard and Theodore Lydecker.
