Description
This is a futuristic flying aircraft carrier. Maybe 1000fr long. I designed this in 1981 and it was heavily influenced by Cloudbase from 'Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons' (1967). I was only vaguely aware of the Shield Helicarrier from the Marvel Comics (1965).

The original design was a cardboard model which used some discarded cigarette packets in its design.This model featured in a Super8 home movie i made with friend David Hicks when we were kids.

This is a recent painting that has added a few details added. I thought a night-tine view would make a nice change. I had in mind those pictures you see of oil rigs out at sea at night.
