Though I love Dali, I'm not familiar with that painting... hmm, I'll have to find it.
Very cool idea, and I like the way you've layered the outline of the break in the shell, so it looks less like a manipulation and more like an actual breech in a shell.
Very nice movement and arch in the pose inside!
