This piece is wonderful. I love when an artist (especially a photographer) can blur the lines of reality in a way that you can't help but admire what goes on inside of thier head. I will definitely fav this one. Too bad this piece isn't part of a series. I would have loved to see the different steps to The Hatching. Great job

Gotcha. Funny, I have an image in my gallery called Egg....a naked figure balled up to look like an egg. I considered maniping on an egg too, but then I decided I like the image as is.

I totally agree with you. I'm real tired of looking at bathtub shots. I love DeviantArt but have noticed in many of the catorgories that many people are trying to emulate other professional stuff, which isn't always a bad thing. In photo school we had many projects to emulate our favorites, but only as a learning tool and not merely to copy. But not everyone (hardly any) are professionals here. So anyway nice shot, keep it up. Pass on the positive vibes.

I love the concept but the execution seems to be a bit off. The egg looks really fake. It could be due to the difference in shadows between the egg and model. The the visual relationship between the egg's cracked shell and the model also seems to be a bit off hinting at the manipulation.
Anyways, cool shot
