Description
Here we have yet another character from the comicky world of Apeman and Monkeyboy, in the form of a mostly-metallic humanoid waterfowl with extensible limbs and a radio antenna that comes out of his head when he needs to pick up important transmissions or listen to Funk FM. He's sort of the avian equivalent of Inspector Gadget, only competent and vastly less irritating. The Dynamic Duckoid is a superhero from an alternative dimension, where human beings don't exist and anthropomorphic animals are the norm. He encounters Apeman and Monkeyboy while pursuing a particularly villainous villain between realities, and the three of them team up to foil the baddie - a mad turtle professor - before he frees hundreds of animal criminals from a secret prison located on an island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean and creates himself an army of genetically-modified evildoers. It's a saving-the-world-from-an-insane-amphibian kind of tale.

I like to think he's somewhat less bumbling than Darkwing, although he does have moments of oddness when his antenna picks up static.

You'll very probably see him here, just as soon as I've drawn him. Stay tuned!
As for the DD deja vu, possibly you're thinking of Darkwing Duck; although, as a chum pointed out the other day, the logo on his chest bears a vague resemblance to that of a (now defunct) brand of beer known as Double Diamond, so perhaps you were thinking of that.

Now I remember!
Dare Devil and Dark wing Duck, though that one was pretty old.
Looks like a lot of super heros out there have a DD!

Jesus XD
If only I didn't take my characters so frikkin seriously (as in stop giving them serious and not comic situations) then I'd come up with awesome concepts like this XDDD

Larry and I are very much on the same page when it comes to humour, and we really enjoy coming up with concepts and characters to make each other laugh, hence the preponderance of daftness in just about everything we do. The trick is to go with what you find funny, and not worry that other people might find it stupid or baffling (indeed, we thoroughly enjoy baffling certain people).
Cheers muchly for the kindly compliment, by the way!

I have a metal-based character as well, a silver crocodile.
His story is here:
