It's not very small, it's actually pretty large sadly. The amount of them is WHY people find feminism to be a joke, it's why people who are feminists get attacked for it, because of the radfems, nearly everyone that isn't a feminist thinks all feminists are man-hating pieces of shit. It's why they find feminism a joke, because they think feminism is wanting rights over men, entirely because of that group. It's not that they don't take equal rights seriously, the radfems have put a terrible name on feminism that makes people think we are all man hating shitbags.

In sixth grade, I was much more intelligent than the rest and acknowledged that women should have the same rights as men and also acknowledged that nowadays women got MORE rights, and that men needed rights too. And I was a girl.
So this chick comes in with a shirt that says, "Women rule the world, men just live here". Being sick and tired of those types of sayings on "sassy" clothes and stuff, I confronted her saying, "Actually, women seem to be getting more rights than men nowadays."

I can support feminism. It's a great idea. I just think the name is part of the problem. Calling it "feminism" immediately gives the idea it's all about women, which is what creates the radicals or "feminazis" by making them think the feminist movement is all about them, not about equality.
Personally, I identify as an "Equalist" rather than a "Feminist".
At any rate, if we are to move on to a new age of equality, co-operation, mutual respect and justice is required. Both genders face challenges in modern society, such its harsh prejudice of women, or its high expectations of men. We need to put aside our differences, realise we both need help, and work together rather than divide ourselves like this.Β

I don't blame people who hate radical feminists, everyone does. But many if not most of the people I know who say they hate feminists are themselves some brand of sexist. Usually macho asshole men, or spoiled women who think that "the gold old days" meant the wife could laze around the house while her husband did all the work. (Seriously; I have a friend who claims to have old-fashioned values, saying she wishes she could be a stay-at-home mom..."because think about it! According to society, there is no proper way for a woman to act. Ever heard of comments like "Be a woman" or "Woman up". Neither have I. Women can choose to act independant or dependant whenever it suits them. If a hit a girl, would she hit me back or go crying and probably tell someone to him me for her?

No one deserves to be hit, male or female, no matter how "stupid" that person may be or who started throwing punches first. When regarding these type of issues people should act like the adults they are and take the situation in a much civilized attitude. Unless they are trying to kill you then you obviously have the right to defend yourself-- it does go without saying. The only reason why it's been accepted that males shouldn't hit females is for the plainly obvious fact that the average man is stronger than the average woman. I say average because obviously there are a few exceptions.Β I would not brook for any woman I know to hit a man but what I'm saying is that this is and has been the accepted rule in most societies. And it is just as well; the males have the upper hand when it comes to raw strength-- giving them the advantage to easily outperform and overwhelm a female. Again, not condoning any females, especially ones that I keep close to me as friends, to hit men but the rule is there for a good reason...

In your opinion, no one should hit anyone unless it's defense, but in mine, some people deserve to be hit.Β There are some situations where the person will not back down until violence has occurred, such as bullying situations.
My half-sister punched a girl in the face because she wouldn't stop emotionally bullying her, and after that the girl left her alone.Β Teachers didn't help, parents didn't help, talking didn't help.Β There weren't more options and it solved the problem.
Men might have more raw strength, but women have more agility and if they weren't portrayed by the media to be sniffling little whiny bitches, they could handle a lot more than people think they do.Β Girls react they way they think they should; as weak, though they aren't.

I understand what your half-sister went through because I went through the same thing as well in middle school. The reason I didn't punch him was because unlike him I had dignity and was years more mature than him. I finally had him stop bullying me in a much more calm and tactic way.
Not saying your sister has no honor and I get it-- people have different ways to handle situations and there are times where you are left with no other choice.
In real life situations though, agility would not overwhelm someone w/ raw strength. But I will admit that with agility women hit men more times than men. I'm not saying there are more women in the world hitting men, mind you-- I'm saying that when a female hits a man their punches are fast and they don't stop. Because a man could easily leave a woman unconscious with one hard throw.
I still don't agree with anyone hitting each other unless in defense or in a threatened state but there is not much I could do to change people. People are people so let's just leave it at this...
