Description Cooper grew up along the California coast and always loved the ocean. She learned how to freedive with a group of nature photographers, and could hold her breath for up to six minutes. Her exceptional physical conditioning, six foot height, and commission from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis led her to become the first woman in the Navy SEALs.

I think we will see the first woman in the Navy SEALs or other U.S. special forces at some point in our lifetime, and a female president. I just hope I'm not an old man by the time it happens.

Navy SEAL's aren't supposed to be readily identified, so if it does happen, we won't probably won't know about her until she retires. Which is kind of cool, though I don't know why I think it's cool. I often don't know why I think what I think.
